The 11th National Employment Councils (NECs) Symposium for Chairpersons, Councillors and General Secretaries was held in Bulawayo, with leading industry experts delivering insightful presentations and recommending practical, forward-looking solutions to strengthen the resilience and adaptability of National Employment Councils in an evolving labour market. Held under the theme, “Enhancing NECs’ Resilience and Adaptability in a Dynamic Labour Market towards Vision 2030,” the symposium continues to equip labour practitioners with knowledge and strategies to effectively respond to emerging workplace trends and challenges. Key presentations focused on labour law jurisprudence and its impact on National Employment Councils, labour inspections and compliance as critical pillars of decent work, and enhancing workplace productivity through sound labour relations and effective social dialogue. The symposium remains an important platform for strengthening labour administration and advancing Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 through collaboration, innovation and sustainable labour market solutions.
